Barone was in the fourth season of Seinfeld episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham an executive chef, who was looking for Elaine Benes shoes. Barone was part of the cast for the television show Carol & Company in early 1990s alongside actor Carol Burnett. Barone performed the role of Carol Willick Ross Geller's ex-wife during the first Friends appearance. The show ended her time as she was looking for an additional full-time job. She was taken over by Jane Sibbett. She starred on The Jeff Foxworthy Show for the initial season (1995-1996) as well as in The War at Home from 2005 through 2007.
