Cindy Crawford

CindyCynthia Ann Crawford, born on February 20, 1966, is an American actress, model and TV host. She was a model as well as an iconic model on magazine covers runways, runways and fashion ads in the 1980s and 1990s. Her career later expanded to acting and business ventures. When she was in her sophomore year at high school, she received a call from a local retailer for modeling jobs but was later informed that it was a prank by two of her classmates. Crawford was among the high school students hired by a different store, and also had a fashion shoot. Roger Legel, a local photographer approached Crawford to take her picture. He was the one responsible for shooting another college student in DeKalb Nite Weekly. Crawford was selected as the first photo shoot. She was enticed to pursue modeling by the positive comments and pictures she received. At first, she worked with a small modeling agency. Elite Model Management sold her to the agency shortly after she signed. She entered Elite's Look of the Year contest in 1983 at age 17 and reached the national finals.
